Abstract
The purpose of the article is to study the possibility of using a composition based on a humic preparation from Humostim peat and Pseudomonas extremorientalis bacteria isolated from earthworm coprolites to control the pathogens of seed infections of spring wheat. The objects of the study were seeds of spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of the Licamero and Calixo varieties, the humic preparation Humostim, and the bacteria antagonists of the root rot pathogens Pseudomonas extremorientalis. The phytoexpertize method was used in filter paper rolls. Treatment of the Licamero wheat seeds with bacteria significantly increases the length of the seedling from 12 cm in the control to 14 cm in the experiment. The combined use of bacteria and a humic preparation at two concentrations of 0.001% and 0.0001% significantly increased the length of the seedling to 13.1 and 13.0 cm. In the variants of treatment with a humic preparation in two concentrations, the number of roots per plant increased from 3 pcs. in the control to 4 pcs. In the variant of joint treatment with a lower concentration of Humostim, there is a tendency to increase this indicator. The preparation exhibits an antifungal effect at a concentration of 0.001%, reducing the total infection of seeds with phytopathogens from 23% in the control to 16%; at a concentration of 0.0001% – from 23% in the control to 9%. Bacterization reduces the overall infection rate by up to 12%. The combined effect of bacteria and Humostim in two concentrations significantly reduces the overall infection rate to 7 and 11%. For the Calixo variety, the length of the seedling in the variant of treatment with Humostim in a lower concentration is statistically significantly less than the control (in the control – 11.9 cm, Humostim 0.0001% – 9.5 cm). The total infection with phytopathogens in the experimental variants is 4-8% less than the control, but a statistically significant result was noted only in the variant of the combined use of bacteria and Humostim in a lower concentration: reduction from 20% in control to 9%.
