SIBERIAN BRANCH OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES

There is given information on the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences as a center of scientific provision for the agribusiness industry of Siberia. The structure of the Branch, territorial scientific centers, outcomes and achievements of scientific establishments being under the authority of the Branch are shown according to research lines: economics; soil management; plant growing; animal husbandry; veterinary medicine; automation, mechanization and electrification of agriculture; agriproducts processing, and data on leading scientists. A system of scientific manpower training is demonstrated, where the Small Agricultural Academy is a leading link. There is given information on the Branch’s integration with research institutions of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and with institutes of higher education of the region, as well as on international cooperation. The Branch carries out publishing activities, publishes the journal “Siberian Herald of Agricultural Sciences”, and newspaper “Kolos Sibiri”.
