Kirill Sergeevich Golokhvast was born in 1980 in Belogorsk, Amur Region.

Corresponding Member RAE, Professor RAS, Doctor of Science in Biology.

K.S. Golokhvast is a specialist in the field of plant biotechnology and biochemistry, and is the developer of the technology of supercritical extraction of biologically active compounds from medicinal plants of Siberia and the Far East (tested on more than 100 species). The series of works is dedicated to the biotechnological characteristics of cultivated plants (wheat, tomatoes, barley, corn, potatoes, soy, perilla) with a high content of polyphenolic compounds. He studied the molecular mechanisms of adaptation of various agricultural plants (Vigna radiata, Glycine max, Cicer arietinum, Oryza sativa, Arabidopsis thaliana) to adverse environmental conditions. Kirill Sergeevich conducts comparative studies of the biotechnological foundations of biomineralization processes in plants (more than 130 plant species have been studied).

The research results have been published in 730 scientific works, including 10 monographs, 55 patents, more than 600 articles in scientific journals, 225 of which were published in the journals indexed by Web of Science, and 320 in Scopus.

2003 – graduated with honors from the Amur State Medical Academy (ASMA) with a degree in "General Medicine" and the qualification of " Physician"

2006 – completed his postgraduate studies and defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Science in Biology (major "Physiology")
