The Editor makes an unbiased conclusion as to the publication on the base of reliability of provided data and academic significance of a work under consideration.
In making the decision of publication, the Editor may consult other editors or experts.
The editor should evaluate the intellectual content of the manuscripts regardless of the race, gender, sexual orientation, religious views, origin, nationality, social status, or political preferences of the authors.
Business or political interests should not influence the decision to publish materials.
Unpublished data obtained from the manuscripts submitted for review should not be used for personal purposes or passed on to third parties without the written consent of the author (s). Information obtained in the course of editing should remain confidential.
The Editor should not accept a manuscript for publication where there are sufficient grounds to suspect plagiarism.
The Editor and Publisher should not disregard claims concerning reviewed manuscripts or published materials. In case of conflicts, they should make reasonable best efforts for restoration of violated rights.
Reviewers' ethics
Peer reviewers make an expert review of a manuscript, and their conduct should be impartial, according to the following principles.
The manuscript received for reviewing should be considered confidential. It may not be given for information or discussion to third persons not authorized by the Editorial Board.
Reviewers must provide an unbiased and substantiated estimation of results presented in the manuscript. Personal criticism of the author(s) is not allowed.
Unpublished data obtained from the manuscripts submitted for review should not be used by the reviewers for personal purposes.
A reviewer who does not, in his or her own opinion, have sufficient competence to evaluate a manuscript or who cannot be objective, for example, in the case of a conflict of interest with an author or organization, should inform the editor and ask to be excluded from the manuscript review process.
Authors' conduct
Authors (author) are aware that they bear primary responsibility for the novelty and validity of research results and for the abidance by biological and medical ethical standards in doing experiments presented in the manuscript.
Authors should provide reliable data of their study. Misleading or falsified statements are unacceptable.
Authors should ensure that the research results presented in their manuscript are fully original. Borrowed quotations or statements should be accompanied by references to their authors and sources. Overquoting and plagiarism of any kind are unethical and unacceptable.
The contributions of all persons involved in the study to any extent should be acknowledged. In particular, all publications significant for the study should be referred to.

It is unethical to submit a manuscript to more than one journal at a time.
All persons who made significant contributions to the work should be included to the list of authors. It is unacceptable to indicate persons not participating in the study as co-authors.

Authors are obliged to settle all claims on their own account and at their own expense.
In cases of suspected publication misconduct by any participant of the editorial process, public investigation and public disclosure of conflict of interests must be pursued.
If the paper containing significant inaccuracies has been published, it should be revised so that the revisions should be accessible for readers and indexing systems.
Policy of the Journal on the use of Artificial Intelligence-Based Services
The editorial staff of the journal "Siberian Herald of Agricultural Science" recognize that the use of generative and traditional types of artificial intelligence (AI), as well as various technologies based on them, in the process of preparing, writing and reviewing scientific articles helps researchers to summarize a large volume of scientific and specialized literature, compile a review on a specific topic or issue, identify gaps in research, generate ideas and provide targeted support in such tasks as organizing content, improving language and increasing readability. Nevertheless, the editors consider it necessary to draw the attention of the authors and reviewers to the following provisions of the journal's policy regarding the use of AI-based services:
- Authors may use AI tools in the manuscript preparation process. However, these tools should never replace human critical thinking, experience, and judgment. Authors are responsible for the content of their work. They must guarantee that the final text is original and reflects the results of their research. In addition, authors must ensure that all AI-generated results have been carefully checked for accuracy, completeness, and impartiality during the preparation of the article (including checking sources, as AI-generated references may be incorrect or fabricated).
- The use of any AI-based tool in writing an article does not entitle it to be listed as a co-author or contributor to the manuscript. AI-based programs do not meet the criteria for authorship, as they are not responsible for the content of the work, cannot declare conflicts of interest, or manage copyrights.
- The use of any tools or sources, including those based on AI, must be understandable and transparent to readers. Therefore, when submitting a manuscript to a journal, authors are required to indicate the name and version of the generative AI tool they used at the end of the article in the form of a statement, indicating the purpose of its use (e.g. text editing, data analysis, creating diagrams of the processes described in the work, compiling questionnaires and check lists, summaries, etc.), as well as the criteria for queries directed to generative AI. Basic checks of grammar, spelling, and punctuation do not require a statement.
- AI may be used to generate the images (diagrams) illustrating processes, concepts, and mechanisms of action. It is prohibited to use AI to generate actual research results or modify the images obtained during research.
- Authors and reviewers must ensure that the AI tools they use comply with privacy and data protection requirements, do not infringe on the rights of third parties, including intellectual property and data privacy, and do not appropriate content created by others or use it to train AI models without the user's consent.
In its work, the editorial board of the journal "Siberian Herald of Agricultural Science" uses the module of the "Antiplagiat" system to identify the texts generated by AI. If, as a result of the check, signs of illegal use of AI are found in the manuscript, the article may be rejected or sent for revision.
